Online Publishing pitch with Five international publishing houses August 2026

The Overview
Nearest Truth Workshop ‘s Year-Long photobook workshop is the first of its kind to offer three different tiers of involvement in which participants may join via zoom, zoom+mentorship, and the physical+zoom+mentorship tier. We are offering these iterations to be as inclusive as possible for the varying needs of our participants. We also offer early-bird pricing and payment plans.
Zoom-Only Program

Our zoom program offers up to 40+ different artists, curators, thinkers, publishers and writers that will give the participants insight into the industry and the photobook medium. These will be recorded and available to participants.
Mentorship
The Zoom+Mentorship course gives participants a chance to work directly with Brad from Nearest Truth once a month on their individual projects. This module is meant to provide access to the lectures and offer a monthly feedback loop over the year to get general reflections regarding work in progress related to books.
The participants for this module will receive the zoom course and a 1.5-hour private meeting with Brad per month. If a participant cannot find an easy time to meet during the period of one-month, it is possible to schedule a longer meeting the following month. Bookings will be made in advance and will be kept to the best of both sides’ ability. The participant is allowed to miss one mentorship model which may be rescheduled. After that missed module, the participant bears all responsibility for any further missed modules. This tier also includes the monthly Zoom lectures.
Physical Workshop+Zoom+Mentorship
The physical workshops will meet in Athens, Greece for an extended workshop with Bryan Schutmaat, Lua Ribeiera, and Brad Feuerhelm.
The final online pitch to five publishers will happen in August, 2026. Participants will directly pitch their books to publishers in individual sessions.

Participant Refund Information
Refunds for these workshops are not possible. There are too many moving parts involved. Once you sign on, it is up to you to finish the course with us. The world is a difficult place right now and as much as we want more financial flexibility, we cannot offer refunds due to the expense of the program. This is implicit as we confirm the workshop based on this information. We can also speak about postponement under specific circumstances.

Payment Plans
We understand that the economics of the course is not suitable for everyone. With an ambitious program comes ambitious expenditure, which results in a higher price of admission. We are open to payment plans for people based on a shifting rule of economics to ensure that once accepted for the course and once committed to remission of payment, the participants are responsible for honoring their investment in themselves and us.
We ask that all payment terms be fulfilled as per the contract, and to help this, we will offer individual payment plans. We also cannot issue, under any circumstances, refunds for individuals who cannot attend after signing their contract and after payments have begun. If the participant cannot make their payment (within reason), their participation may be ended. We prefer to continue working with people and will do our best to maintain a great working relationship. This stated, it is important to make the payment dates.
